Hiking to Veten Summit

The highest peak in Øygarden municipality is called Veten, standing at 285 meters above sea level. The hike can begin from Stranda Swimming Hall, and along the way, there are well-maintained boardwalks, a nature trail for children, and small signs with information.

If you are a group, you can park a car at Førde and walk together from Stranda School to Veten and down to Førde. Alternatively, you can hike round trip. There is a large sign near Stranda Swimming Hall with information about hikes in Sund. Follow the path past the sign to Storevarden.

Access by Car
Park at the swimming hall in Stranda. The hike starts from Stranda Swimming Hall, and there is a large sign with information about hikes in Sund. If you are in a group, you can park a car at Førde and walk together from Stranda School to Veten and down to Førde. Alternatively, you can hike round trip starting from where you parked your car. It is most popular to hike from Førde and up.
